Each piece of jewelry is designed and created by hand in my Virginia studio. Genuine, untreated stones and occasional pearls are sourced from small providers in small quantities based on quality and uniqueness to create one of a kind jewelry. Gemstone pieces are influenced by the beauty of each stone and a desire to showcase these with minimal distraction. Metalsmithed pieces explore texture and metal combinations.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by deep greens and cultivated mosses, with mountains and deep forests as well as rugged coastlines just over an hour from my home. On group hikes I was attracted to jaspers and river stones, mosses and other found objects. Many of my pieces reflect these early influences and often trend toward greens and blues across the spectrum including stones such as green kyanite, moss agate, malachite, azurite and chrysocolla, as well as stones with organic freeform shapes and unfinished edges.
